About Backpack Cat
Backpack cat is a series I created during Covid. While traveling was made impossible, I imagined a little cat character traveling for me. The idea also came from doing the Pleinairpril challenge (happens yearly in April, the challenge is to do a pleinair painting traditionally or digitally everyday). To make my Pleinairprils more interesting, I tried putting Joji in every painting just to add a bit of story in there.
Joji also travels to the Lido Universe. You'll see her occasionally in my Lido Universe paintings.
Joji's character design is heavily based on my cat Mochi. You'll find the same big blue eyes and dark spots in both Joji and Mochi!
